Quality at IPN
For IPN, quality is an integral part of business. In all processes we implemented quality focussed elements to achieve an optimum of customer satisfaction. The quality policy has been based on 4 pillars:
• Quality Management System,
• Quality Planning,
• Quality Control,
• Quality Improvement.
Quality Management System
IPN has implemented a Quality Management System (QMS) for the entire IPN-group with generic procedures if possible and site specific procedures when needed. The QMS has been based on and meets the requirements of the following international standards:
• ISO 9001,
• ISO 22000,
• ISO 13485,
• BRC IoP.
Quality Planning
Regarding product and process development projects, IPN has defined a structured method to achieve first time right. IPN integrates a lot of quality planning activities in the project, such as risk analysis, HACCP, FMEA, product verification, design of experiments (DOE), product and process validation based on statistics.Quality Control
During production IPN performs in process inspection according to control plans. Those inspections contain dimensional, visual and functional measurements. A lot of processes have been equipped with vision systems for 100% inspection to achieve a very low ppm rate to the customer. To meet the requirements of our customers in the Food and Medical Industry and to avoid health risks, IPN produces in a clean room environment. This means environmental control is a topic for IPN, special attention for frequent monitoring of microbiological cleanliness of our products.
Quality Improvement
IPN continuously measures the quality performance of its processes, the performance indicators are input for quality improvement programs. For these programs, IPN applies the 8D problem solving method, assuring the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions. Pareto analysis, cause and effect diagrams and other statistical tools are applied for analysis. An active auditing program and management review are part of our continuous improvement approach.
